Mr. Hilfrink is a senior associate attorney in our Agoura Hills office. His focus is on the defense of workers’ compensation matters, Labor Code Section 132a and Serious and Willful Misconduct claims under Labor Code Section 4553 on behalf of employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators. Jason believes in proactive representation with an eye always on his client’s overall business needs and dynamics. His goal is to develop creative and cost effective approaches to claim resolution for the benefit of his clients.
Jason was admitted to the California State Bar in 2004. Prior to joining Albert and Mackenzie, he has devoted his legal career to the defense of workers’ compensation matters and has worked in various levels of management for a statewide workers’ compensation law firm. During his career, Mr. Hilfrink has appeared at least one time at every WCAB location in California.
Jason is a graduate of Illinois State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. He later attended Pepperdine University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor degree.
In addition to defense of all issues in workers’ compensation litigation, Mr. Hilfrink has a strong interest in the defense of penalty and sanctions allegations under Labor Code Sections 5814 and 5813.
