Jennifer Derrick is a Senior Associate Attorney in the San Francisco area office. She is a Certified Specialist in workers’ compensation, fluent in all aspects of the defense of workers’ compensation claims on behalf of self-insured employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators, including Labor Code section 132a claims. She has been successful in obtaining several “take nothing” decisions via trial and arbitration. Jennifer strongly believes in the importance of client communication and always focuses on trying to successfully resolve cases in the most pragmatic and efficient manner.
She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1996. Since that time, her practice has solely focused on workers’ compensation defense at both the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board and in Alternate Dispute Resolution. Prior to joining Albert and Mackenzie, Jennifer worked as a workers’ compensation defense attorney mostly in the Bay Area, with a few years practicing in the Los Angeles area.
Jennifer graduated from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo where she majored in Political Science. She then obtained her Juris Doctor Degree from McGeorge School of Law in 1996, where she was a Member of the Traynor Honor Society and won the International Moot Court Award for Best Brief.
