Peter N. Mackenzie is the Senior Managing Partner in the Encino office, having formed Albert and Mackenzie in 2003. He has extensive experience in defense of workers’ compensation claims, also including defense of Labor Code section 132a and Serious and Willful misconduct claims. Peter is well-versed in the depositions of injured workers, physicians, and witnesses and believes that a claim can often be successfully defended at deposition. His creative and earnest approach to claims has resulted in more than 30 “Take Nothing” Awards at trial, during his career as a defense attorney.
Peter leverages his broad base of experience, which enables him to anticipate where a claim is going long before it gets there, then using this knowledge as a vehicle for early case resolution.
He was admitted to the California Bar in 1991. Peter is a graduate of California State University at Northridge, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing. He graduated from Southwestern University School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 1991. Peter is a member of the State Bar of California, American Bar Association, and Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorneys’ Association.
