Steven M. Kogen joined Albert and Mackenzie in 2014 and serves as a supervising senior attorney in the Encino office. He is dedicated to the practice of defending workers’ compensation claims on behalf of employers, insurers, and third-party administrators. Steven has a “can do” attitude and brings creativity and passion in his relentless efforts to obtain the most favorable resolution for clients. His MBA gives him a unique understanding of the economic impact of cases on clients.
Steven was admitted to the California State Bar in 2012. Prior to joining Albert and Mackenzie, he obtained a wide variety of experience, working for both corporate in-house counsel as well as the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office in the Major Narcotics Division. Steven began a career in Workers’ Compensation Defense at a small firm in the San Fernando Valley.
He graduated from the University of Arizona, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Regional Development and Pre-Law. Steven earned his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law in 2012, and after taking the California State Bar Exam, completed his MBA from the Drucker School of Business at Claremont Graduate University.
