Shayna Yamada is a senior associate attorney in our Orange office. She focuses on the defense of workers’ compensation claims on behalf of employers, carriers and third-party administrators, with an emphasis on high exposure and complex litigation cases. Shayna represented California Insurance Guarantee Association (CIGA) on high dose narcotic and home healthcare task forces, which were created to reduce costs associated with both, streamlining treatment and resolving claims that included these issues. She understands the importance of client communication and the need to work as a team to successfully and expeditiously resolve claims.
She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2001 and has practiced solely in the areas of insurance and workers’ compensation defense. Prior to joining Albert and Mackenzie, she worked as a defense attorney in Southern California.
Shayna graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara, with a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society, and went on to attend Syracuse University where she was a Political Science major and member of the National Cross-Examination Debate Association. She then obtained her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.
