Connie Parker is a Senior Associate Attorney in the Orange County area office. She specializes in the defense of workers’ compensation, Labor Code Section 132a, and Section 4553 Serious and Willful Misconduct claims. Connie addresses cases with a cost-benefit approach, focusing on efficiency and early settlement, while also recognizing when certain issues justify litigation based on clients’ needs and case circumstances.
Connie began her career as an Attorney in business and employment litigation. Since 2016, Connie has represented employers and insurance companies in the defense of workers’ compensation claims. She has tried several cases before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, Federal District Court, California Superior Court, and the California Labor Commissioner. Throughout Connie’s workers’ compensation career, she has successfully obtained 0% awards, and convinced judges that further development of the record was unnecessary when adversaries sought to delay closing discovery for unnecessary medical-legal evaluations. Her claim-handling approach has resulted in reversing unfavorable medical legal opinions at deposition.
Connie grew up in Illinois and central California. She is a former classical ballet dancer, and now enjoys yoga and boxing in her free time. Aside from fitness, Connie enjoys the world around food – from trying different restaurants to cooking and watching the Food Network channel. Her favorite dishes to cook are Italian.
Three words that best describe Connie are dependable, independent, and kind. With a love for animals, she has rescued two dogs and one cat, which are now a part of her family. If Connie could learn to do anything, she would like to be fluent in the Romance languages.
