Brett Erickson is a Senior Associate Attorney in the Long Beach area office. He strongly believes in client communication, swift and efficient claim resolution, and a no-nonsense approach to claim analysis that keeps in mind the unique complexities of worker’s compensation litigation.
Admitted to the State Bar of California in 2011, Brett has consistently demonstrated his expertise in workers’ compensation defense. Having exclusively focused on this area throughout his career, he brings a wealth of experience to his role at Albert and Mackenzie. Brett has successfully obtained multiple Take Nothing findings, showcasing his exceptional cross-examination skills and ability to secure favorable rulings where injuries were not found to be arising out of or occurring in the course of employment.
Brett grew up in Valencia, California. He possesses a deep appreciation for the importance of developing strong, positive relationships within the workers’ compensation community. His genuine passion for this aspect of his work sets him apart as an attorney who not only excels in representing his clients, but also values meaningful connections.
Beyond the courtroom, Brett finds fulfillment in various interests. Whether it’s casting a line while fishing, embarking on exciting travels, or embracing the joys of fatherhood with his son, Brett embraces life with enthusiasm. An ambitious endeavor Brett intends to cross off his bucket list is to visit 100 countries (already two-thirds of the way there!) and explore all 50 states.
As an avid sports fan, you can find Brett rooting for the Dodgers, Lakers, Kings, and Chargers. Fun fact: Brett played professional baseball in France.
