Erik Wochna is a Senior Managing Partner of Albert and Mackenzie based out of the Inland Empire office. He specializes in the defense of all issues involving workers’ compensation claims and is highly adept at providing exposure analysis for clients. At Albert and Mackenzie, Erik oversees the firm’s rating program, a service established to provide ratings for medical reporting based on the AMA Guides/Permanent Disability rating schedules.
Throughout Erik’s workers’ compensation career, he has obtained several Take Nothings defending every affirmative defense – from jurisdiction issues and post-term claims to statute of limitations and employment. Erik has also collaborated with the District Attorney and Department of Insurance and favorably obtained restitution Orders for clients involving fraud claims. Not to mention, he has advised on/conducted numerous cross-examinations for doctors, in which he successfully decreased exposure to below life-pension exposure or significantly reduced exposure altogether.
Erik grew up in Northwest Los Angeles, California, and lived overseas for several years. His interests comprise of golf, wine, baseball, football, cycling, and architecture. An ideal weekend for Erik is anything that involves his family and friends.
When it comes to sports, Erik is rooting for the Green Bay Packers. His favorite food is any type of Santa Maria Barbeque. As for his favorite place in the world, it would be Napa County.
Three words to describe Erik are loyal, compassionate, and responsible. He lives by the phrase, “Do good to others.” Fun fact: Erik used to be a professional cyclist.
