Jason Bernthol is a Senior Associate Attorney in the Agoura Hills office. He strongly believes in efficient, cost-mindful resolution of claims with the goal of settlements over protracted litigation where feasible, outside-the-box strategic thinking, and forging team-centric relationships with clients.

He was admitted to the State Bar of California and the Federal District Courts in California in 1996. Jason has over 20 years of experience in the industrial injury workers’ compensation arena. He has defended and prosecuted countless claims from inception through Trial, including all aspects of the litigation process, as well as prosecution and defense of wrongful termination, Labor Code section 132a discrimination, and Labor Code 4553 serious & willful injury claims. In addition, Jason is certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and the American National Standards Institute as a Certified Information Privacy Professional, holding the CIPP/US credential certification.

When he’s not embarking on exciting adventures and road trips with his son, Jason is an avid sports and music fan. He is a California native and a lifelong fan of the Dodgers, Lakers, Rams, and Kings. He spends his weekends with friends and family at UCLA football games, which hold a special place in his heart as his favorite among them all.

Fun fact: Jason preserved ticket stubs and the game program from Game 1 of the 1988 World Series, where he and his father were physically present to witness Kirk Gibson’s iconic walk-off game-winning home run.
