Steven M. Kogen serves as the Managing Partner in the Long Beach office. He has a “can do” attitude and brings creativity and passion in his relentless efforts to obtain the most favorable resolution for clients. Steven’s MBA also gives him a unique understanding of the economic impact of cases on clients.
Steven holds an expansive range of experience having worked for both corporate in-house counsel as well as the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office in the Major Narcotics Division. He began a career in workers’ compensation defense at a small firm in the San Fernando Valley. Throughout his workers’ compensation career, Steven has successfully obtained 10 “Take Nothing” findings.
Steven was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. His hobbies include snowboarding, riding and customizing his Ducati motorcycle, attending concerts and comedy shows, participating in fantasy football, and playing guitar. When it comes to sports, he is rooting for the Los Angeles Lakers, Dodgers, and Rams.
An ideal weekend for Steven comprises of riding his Ducati down the Pacific Coast Highway, stopping for fish tacos at Duke’s, and going to a comedy show or concert. Fun fact: Steven has done the highest bungee jump in the world off the Macau Tower and has gone skydiving out of a helicopter over the Swiss Alps.
