Ray Stanek is a Partner at Albert and Mackenzie’s East Bay office. He holds extensive experience in civil and workers’ compensation law having specialized in the field since 1992. Ray’s focus, dedication, and work ethic sets him apart in the pursuit of outstanding client outcomes.

His expertise encompasses all aspects of workers’ compensation, including witness depositions, doctor depositions, and trials. In
addition, Ray handles civil claims, such as subrogation matters, the defense of discrimination claims under Labor Code §132a, and Serious and Willful Misconduct claims under Labor Code §4553. Amongst his accomplishments, he has been successful in obtaining approximately 20 Take Nothings, six fraud convictions, and a granting of reconsideration that overturned a 100% decision.

Ray’s hometown is Ely, Nevada, but he also grew up in several places throughout California and South Dakota. He attended the
University of South Dakota and received his Bachelor of Arts in Education. He also was on the baseball team.

Before Ray attended law school, he was an elementary school principal at the Duckwater Shoshone Reservation in Nevada. Ray is an avid sports fan who supports the Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Lakers.
